The investment seeks high total return from current income and capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus the amount of any borrowings made for investment purposes) in fixed-income instruments with exposure to emerging markets countries. These fixed-income instruments include but are not limited to securities issued or guaranteed by companies, financial institutions and government entities in emerging market countries and other securities bearing fixed or variable interest rates of any or no maturity. It will generally invest in at least four emerging market countries.
