The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in equity securities of non-U.S. companies, including those whose principal business activities are located in emerging market countries. It principally invests in common stocks, but the fund’s investments in equity securities also may include preferred stocks, convertible securities, and American Depositary Receipts (“ADRs”), Global Depositary Receipts (“GDRs”), and European Depositary Receipts (“EDRs”). The fund may invest in securities of companies across the capitalization spectrum but generally focuses on companies with a market capitalization of $3 billion or more.
