The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in a broadly diversified portfolio of equity investments in small-cap U.S. issuers, including foreign issuers that are traded in the United States. These issuers have public stock market capitalizations similar to those of companies constituting the Russell 2000® Index, which is an unmanaged index of common stock prices that measures the performance of the 2000 smallest companies in the Russell 3000® Index.
