The investment seeks to generate current income and, to a lesser extent, capital appreciation through investments in secured debt, including first lien, second lien and unitranche debt, as well as unsecured debt, including mezzanine debt and, to a lesser extent, in equity instruments of private companies. The company intends to invest primarily in privately owned U.S. middle-market companies that require capital for growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations, refinancings and leveraged buyouts.
