The investment seeks to maximize total return, principally through a high level of current income, and secondarily through capital appreciation. The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of high income producing instruments. High income producing instruments include those rated at the time of purchase below "BBB-" by Standard & Poor's Rating Service ("S&P"), or below "Baa3" by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. ("Moody's"), or below a comparable rating by another nationally recognized statistical rating organization, or unrated bonds determined by the adviser to be of comparable quality.
