The investment seeks a high level of current income to the extent consistent with a relatively high level of stability of principal. Normally, at least 80% of the fund's net assets (plus the amount of borrowings, if any, for investment purposes) are invested in debt securities that are rated investment grade at the time of purchase or cash and cash equivalents.
