10 Stocks That Can Replace Your Government Investments
On Friday, there were reports of sell-offs in overseas markets, and the money was flooding into the U.S-specifically to U.S. Treasuries. Given the underwhelming 1.65% yield being offered, is this the only choice for investors seeking a secure home for their cash?
Investing in the U.S. government treasuries is one of the most secure ways to stash your cash and get a return, but with the interest rates at all-time lows you may not get the most out of your investment. The talk about raising interest rates a notch in the next couple of months or so may not be enough if you’re looking for higher returns.
Also, treasury investments can lock in your cash for a certain period of time, it could be anywhere between weeks and years until you’re able to cash out and make that promised yield depending on rate developments.
So, what type of investment can offer you security, a higher yield, and the flexibility to cash out whenever you want?
Stocks – Nothing is risk-free, but giving up the security of the U.S. Treasury Bill for a substantially better opportunity for a return with minimal risk may be, for some people, the way to go.
Based on our analysis of over 9,500 stocks we picked out ten that might work as a safe and profitable investment option.
