The investment seeks to maximize capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in the equity securities of U.S. small-capitalized ("small-cap") and U.S. medium-capitalized ("mid-cap") companies. In addition, while it will invest primarily in the equity securities of U.S. Small/Mid cap companies, the fund may also from time to time invest up to a maximum of 20% of its assets in the equity securities of non-U.S. companies that trade in the U.S. or in securities of companies above the capitalization range of the Russell 2500® Growth Index.
