The investment seeks maximum real return, consistent with preservation of real capital and prudent investment management. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in inflation-indexed bonds of varying maturities issued by the U.S. and non-U.S. governments, their agencies or instrumentalities, and corporations. It may invest up to 10% of its total assets in high yield securities. The fund may invest up to 30% of its total assets in securities denominated in foreign currencies, and may invest beyond this limit in U.S. dollar denominated securities of foreign issuers.
