The investment seeks to provide capital preservation, a high degree of liquidity and a high level of current income. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in fixed income securities issued by the U.S. government and U.S. government agencies and authorities. During certain economic conditions, the advisor may invest up to 10% of its net assets in securities with maturities in excess of 397 days. In addition, the advisor may invest up to 10% of its net assets in lower rated securities, but under no circumstances will the fund invest in below investment grade securities.
