The investment seeks to provide attractive after-tax total return, through income and capital appreciation. The manager seeks to achieve the investment objective by investing at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in municipal securities and other investments, the income of which is exempt from federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the federal alternative minimum tax).
