It’s fair to call him a “numbers guy.” “Whiz kid” would also work. “Wunderkind” is also fitting.
The newest analyst to the Weiss Ratings team has been studying the stock market since sixth grade. “I was always very interested in mathematics. It was enjoyable, problem-solving,” says Sam Blumenfeld, a 2020 college grad.
Sam provides research for a host of newsletters and services, working closely with senior analyst Sean Brodrick. In his own words:

Expectations are very optimistic, I’ll say, that it will be transitory. But the data might be telling a different story.
It certainly looks now that inflation is being underpriced in the market.
It’s interesting because a lot of the higher-growth companies will have a big impact whether inflation is transitory, or if it will have a longer-term impact. Because when you have higher-growth companies, especially in tech, and discount rates are higher, then the valuations through their future cash flows drops. They’ll have a valuation crunch.
