Sean Levine

Sean Levine is Associate Director of Research at Weiss Ratings, joining the company in March 2026. He is an investment banker, attorney, securities analyst, entrepreneur and consultant with a focus on fundamental and technical stock and commodity analysis, trading system development, private placements and crowdfunding, energy markets and policy intelligence. Levine has substantial experience supporting issuer clients through the Regulation A+ exempt securities offering process, having worked from 2020 until 2025 with a number of broker-dealers, crowdfunding platforms and digital marketing firms. During this time, he supported clients in raising over $70 million through exemptions under the JOBS Act. From 2015 to 2020, he led a research team focused on design, development and optimization of unconventional/innovative trading systems. Prior to this, he wrote and published newsletters and reports on the oil and gas industry, private and public companies in multiple sectors, economic and geopolitical dynamics. Levine holds the Series 7, 63, 24, 86, and 87 securities licenses, and is a licensed attorney in West Virginia.
