Yesterday, news broke that gold bullion is now on the list of tariffed items out of Switzerland.
The Swiss have the most gold refinery capacity in the world.
And now, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection ruling N351466, refined gold is to be tariffed.
The ruling is dated July 31.

But the outcry came yesterday as gold once again hit a new all-time high.

While this news seemed to come out of nowhere, gold’s new all-time high shouldn’t have.
In fact, we’ve been all over gold’s inevitable second-stage rally this week.
Your resource guru, Sean Brodrick said this on Wednesday:
“When gold breaks above $3,400 with conviction, it will trigger the next leg of its bull run.
“Meanwhile, U.S. debt is ballooning, central banks around the world are buying gold with both hands and other long-term forces I’ve pounded the table about are still in place.”
He then shared five fresh drivers that will power gold prices up from here:
- The Fed Is Cornered
- The Job Market Is Cracking
- The Dollar Is Losing Ground
- Seasonality Points to Higher Gold
- $4,100 Is the Next Stop
Check out how they all fit together AND how to play them directly from Sean here.
Of course, there is a sixth driver powering gold upwards: China.
Editorial Director Dawn Pennington laid out the airtight case for why China could be the biggest reason yesterday’s all-time-high gold price won’t be the last.
If you want the best individual stocks to play this next stage of the gold boom, you’ll want to watch this to the end right now.
Of course, gold isn’t the only thing on your experts’ minds. They are focused on everything from AI startups and real estate taxes to 1970s flying bicycles.
- Startup specialist Chris Graebe covers the first here.
- Safe Money guru Nilus Mattive is back with his axe to grind on taxes here.
- And, of course, leave it to Michael A. Robinson to find the common connection between a 40-plus-year-old, cross-Channel stunt and modern drone warfare here.
Have a great weekend!
