How to Track and Profit from Crypto’s Massive Changes

The real-world asset (RWA) sector is valued at roughly $260 billion.

According to tech expert Jurica Dujmovic, 2026 will be a make-or-break year for this narrative.

Why?

Because it’ll likely need to prove every dollar can handle redemption pressure during market stress … without custody arrangements falling apart.

To be clear, the risk here isn’t in the issuance or price volatility.

The risk with tokenized products sits on who manages them.

As we see more established, TradFi giants entering the space, the ramifications of risk scale greatly.

If a DeFi native protocol has to hit the pause button in the face of an exploit, it does. And while there is fallout, it’s typically contained to that protocol or network.

Think back to May 2025, when the Cetus platform was hacked and saw all its liquidity pools drained.

In all, roughly $223 million was stolen before the safety rails came up.

When they did, Cetus immediately halted operations. Within a few days, it restored roughly 85% of what was in those pools.

And it spent the next few months paying stakers back their remaining crypto.

In fact, this hack impacted my colleague Marija Matic and her Crypto Yield Hunter Members.

While not a fun experience, stakers were able to continue earning yield within a few days and everyone was made whole in time.

Now, imagine if BlackRock was unable to meet redemptions immediately.

The fallout would be catastrophic.

One bad quarter could trigger a flight back to traditional products regardless of technology advantages.

That’s why I believe the RWA sector will be under close scrutiny this year.

But it’s not the only impact increased TradFi adoption has brought to the blockchain.

In fact, Weiss crypto experts combed the crypto market this week to find the first signs of several fundamental changes … and how you can stay ahead of the curve.

New U.S. Monetary Policy Sparks Crypto Surge

Cycles expert Juan Villaverde says we’re in a new era. Not just for crypto, but for assets across the board.

That’s because the veneer of independence has officially evaporated for the Federal Reserve. In his latest update, Juan explains why this means we’ll see the return of the “up only” memes soon. And he gives you one way to prepare for this change.

Shadow Lobby Fights Stablecoin’s $6.6 Trillion Disruption

The most comprehensive crypto infrastructure bill — the CLARITY Act — has been a hot topic this week. While Senators believed the bipartisan support would be enough to bring it to the floor for a vote soon, pressure from lobbyists put those plans on hold.

DeFi expert Marija Matić walks you through what’s happening on Capitol Hill, and what amendments could do to your DeFi strategy.

2026 Forecast: Maduro Falls, Iran Next?

Big changes aren’t just coming from the U.S.

Crypto is a global market, and it responds to global forces.

Which is why this week, Bob Czeschin zooms out to bring you the big picture. And why it suggests increased money printing and higher demand for gold and Bitcoin as we move through 2026.

3 Massive Crypto Market Changes Happening Right Now

In addition to the RWA sector, Jurica also noticed three fundamental shifts that have already begun thanks to broader institutional adoption. All three alone are big.

Together? They will likely change how you can profit from crypto in 2026 and beyond.

Profit from an Old Crypto Learning New Tricks

Your investment strategy isn’t the only thing that should adapt to these massive market changes. Protocols and projects — the successful ones, at least — will need to, as well.

Which is why altcoin expert Mark Gough gives you a prime example of one that’s doing it right. This old project took the time to learn some new tricks … and generate real revenue along the way.

But that’s all for this week. Be sure to check your inbox tomorrow afternoon for your next Weiss Crypto Daily.
